Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My dad dropped me off at the dentist (Dr. Rak) for my appointment today. The parking lot is very small and to top it off it's on Wyandotte Street East where it's very busy. There was another car parked in a strange spot making it hard for my dad to reverse out of the parking lot. I had full view of him from the waiting area (at this point I didn't think he needed my help because he usually succeeds) and he started to struggle. The elderly man in the parked car slightly reversed to give more room to my dad but it didn't help much. During this time a delivery man dropped off stuff to the secretary and exited the building. He saw my dad having a hard time and started waving at him. My dad stopped reversing when he noticed the delivery man. The delivery man assisted my dad using hand gestures to back out safely, go straight, to stop because there was traffic, and finally my dad was able to back out and go into traffic safely.
I don't know what company the man was from but he wore a tan uniform. He is also Caucasian and had short brown hair. I just wanted to say thank you for taking a couple minutes out of your day to help someone out.
looking for a very good manicurist by the name of Tracey that used to manage and work at Windsor Nails in Tecumseh Mall. She is no longer there and I would appreciate any help in finding if she is working at another nail salon in Windsor. If you know where she is working I would love to know. Thanks.
Wondering if anyone can help me Spot a good home daycare That will take great care of my little ones! Thanks!!
I want to take the time to thank some amazing people at Motor City Chrysler.
Being a single mother with a child who has a disability, I was very nervous about the need to purchase an accessible van, especially with a tight budget.
Daily life is often stressful but you helped to make my van shopping experience pleasant and stress free.
Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
Thank you to my sales associate Jeff Pawluk and to the sales manager Ron Weiler.
To the driver of the Navy blue VW Passat that paid for my drive thru order at the Tim Hortons on the corner or Wyandotte and Lauzon , around 9:05am, on Thursday, April 30th,
Your unexpected generosity was extremely appreciated and made me and my daughter smile on this gloomy (and rough start) of a morning! We paid it forward, and hopefully started a smile trend down the drive thru line!!
Keep being awesome!! :)
To the young lady that was working at Harmony In Action this morning, I thank you for your kindness of coming out in the rain to my van with an umbrella to help my daughter Felisha, whom is in a wheelchair, get inside the building dry. This has never happened in the past. You are very kind. Thank you
To the U Windsor student who recovered an injured Peregrine Falcon on the ground at Riverside Drive and took the bird to Erie Wildlife Rescue, I want to express the heartfelt thanks of the Windsor Peregrine Falcon Watch team. The Peregrine you rescued is Voltaire, our resident female, and she was released successfully after receiving great care from the folks at EWR and Dr. L. Horsman. She is flying well again and back on her nest.
Thank you for caring enough to come to the aid of an amazing raptor in our community. We wish we knew who you are so we could thank you in person. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and your quick action!
I wanted to thank the kind stranger ahead of me in the drive through at TIm's on Lauzon and Wyandotte yesterday around 6pm. Your kind gesture of paying for my order made me smile! I will definitely pay it forward :-)
Hope you had a wonderful evening! You certainly made my work day a bit brighter.
