Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
My wife and I would like to thank the gentleman who helped transport our oversized box purchased from the home hardware on Seminole on Sunday afternoon to our salon. He saw us struggling mightily trying to somehow fit our purchase in our small vehicle. As we started to remove the item from the box, he offered to deliver it to its destination. Thank you kind sir for your act! I hope this guy sees this as we'd like to offer a small token of our appreciation.
I was driving down Ouellette this afternoon (Sunday) about 2:20, and stopped at a light. I noticed to the right of me a homeless man with a beautiful black dog (probably a lab). Two other men were speaking with him when one of the men pulled out a water bottle and filled up the dogs dish. Your compassion was spotted, and it was beautiful to see!
I want to thank Canadian Tire , and their employee Brad in the Service Department , for going to great lengths to get my American Family from Indiana back on the road so that they might make it home tonight . My daughter needed to get home as she has to work a 3rd shift tonight. They went to great lengths to help get their van running . You showed what good people Canadians are. They were very grateful and she should make it to her work tonight !
I would like to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to the wonderful woman that paid for my Tim Horton's on central and temple drive this morning (Sunday the 24th) at around 10:45 am. She was driving a Red Pontiac G5 with a west 49 sticker on her back window - Licence plate "770"
Just wanted her to know if more people were like her, we would have no need for heaven as we would already be there, thanks for making my Sunday morning even better!
To the Windsor Police Officer on Huron Church this morning that stopped traffic to allow 2 families of ducks and babies cross the road, that was the cutest thing I have ever seen! I am so emotional! Your actions moved me and my daughter!!
I just want to recognize two swim instructors at the Vollmer - my son has not wanted to go in the pool for the last 2 weeks. Kicking and screaming attached to my hip. This is the first time since he was a baby this has happened, he is now 3. Finally when 2 minutes remained in his lesson the female instructor was able to take him into the pool. Not only did she spend the next 15 minutes with him out of her own time another male instructor who noticed the struggle we were having went over to help her. Between the two of them he came out smiling and laughing. For this Vollmer Swim Instructors you have been spotted....thank you from a relieved Mommy and Daddy! :)
I brought my son into Met ER Friday afternoon with appendicitis. I just wanted to say think you to all the amazing nurses that took care of us. Angie in the ER, Helen in the OR while we were waiting for him to go in and to all the great nurses on the Pediatrics floor, you ladies were all amazing. I've never seen my son try to be so tough and such a "little man" as he was the past few days. He even said to me "mom everyone here is so". You have all have been noticed for your great and compassionate care this weekend. I can't thank you enough.
- Appendix free 10 yr old and a very tired mom :)
On friday at around 4:30 pm my daughtet and i headed to the county for practice driving...at the corner or 4th conc and north side road a dog ran out onto the road. My daughter swerved to avoid hitting a family pet and our car slid sideways into the ditch. I sent her to the house on the corner. Doreen..i didnt catch your last name but thank you for comforting my daughter and for staying with us until the tow truck got there. Your offer of beverages, food and a blanket for my visably shaking daughter did not go un-noticed. Thank you for your kindness...you have been spotted and i plan on bringing you some flowers.
