Today I learned something at the Mitchell Park redevelopment meeting for Ward 3 and that was literally never judge a book by it's cover. I saw a decent amount of people come out and support their community but nothing like this young male, I wish I got his name so I can thank him for opening my eyes.
He had a green dress shirt and black glasses and in his mid 20's and he was determined to get answers I tell you! He was clearly passionate about his community and apparently he notice problems with the meeting. So he went head on with "Cannot be named so we will call him the Presenter". Now when I first watched him, I thought he was giving the "Presenter" a hard time" and many people thought so as well, but when I listen carefully "WOW"!
He confidently approached the "Presenter" and twice asked him 1 question 3 different times and the "Presenter" gave him all different answers when he answered. Oh boy if you could see this Young mans face when he knew he got him, just genius! He opened my eyes and made me think very critically how we handle this redevelopment plan or how we approach things in Windsor and that's with confidence and passion. We must take our city and our community projects more seriously and ask the questions we want directly and not quietly chat with other groups. I take my hat off to you young man.
My sisters and I went to Orchid Nail Salon for the day to get manicures and pedicures before my wedding. A nice woman was in getting her nails done as well when her car got hit in the parking lot. There was a man outside who saw the car and was able to get the license plate down! How thoughtful! We felt horrible that this woman's car got hit and now she was trying to get in touch with the right people to get a hold of the situation and get her car fixed. She finally came back in the nail salon to finish having her nails painted while she awaited phone calls. We continued to chat with this nice woman while we got our nails finished. As she finished and left we said goodbye and she congratulated me on my upcoming wedding. When she left the lady doing my nails told me that the woman had paid for my nails! I was in complete shock and so grateful! Thank- you to this wonderful woman. My sisters and I were so amazed. You truly are an amazingly thoughtful individual! Thinking of ways to pay it forward!
Just felt the need to give a HUGE shout out and THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH to the Transit Windsor Driver who found my daughter's Samsung Galaxy S4 on the path by the College Avenue Community Center, and turned it in. I just got this phone for my daughter's 18th birthday which is o Saterday, and she lost it today on the way to a Dr appointment with me for my son. We both looked everywhere on the way back to no avail. My daughter was crushed to have lost her phone. 2 hours later a call came from the Transit Windsor Dispatch, saying that a driver had found the phone and had turned it in. To the driver: you are an awesome amazing person and have restored some of my faith in humanity!!! Thank you is just not enough!!! God bless you!!!
I have low iron and needed an injection. Unfortunately, every pharmacy in Windsor was out and would be for months.
When I called Tecumseh Pharmacy Plus, they too were out, but after I got off the phone they spent their own time calling everywhere to find me some!!!
They found me two vials and called to let me know.
They are not my pharmacy, but they will be now!
Thank you so much to nurse Melissa, for doing an outstanding job at taking care of us patients in the E.R ambulatory hall today at Met Hospital. She was there for 12 hours and did an outstanding job! Nurses like these deserve their shout outs! Props To You!
