Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This morning, around 1120, I got out of my van to pick up my breakfast order from Deb's Place on West Grand for my daughter and her friend since I had to get ready for a bridal shower when I fell. And I mean when I say I fell, I fell hard. Shoes off, discombobulated the whole thing. I should probably mention I have Multiple Sclerosis, so testing gravity every now and then isn't new. But what was new today, were the people who came to help me and see if I was alright. I've fallen in public places before and no one has ever shown me the kindness and empathy that I received today from strangers and staff at Deb's place. I was overwhelmed. Thank you all so much! To the women who came rushing out once I was far enough away from the door that they could open it, to the gentleman who helped me to my feet. The wait staff who helped me carry my order to the door. You have really proved that there are still good people in the world. You've all touched my heart. Thank you again.
Koodoos to the very patient cashier dealing with the upset (& lets be honest - rude) customer at about 1:30 this afternoon. She wanted her money back for an item(s) that she didn't have a reciept for (and possibly, no tags) What ever, the woman kept giving you dirty looks & going through her purse, throwing her hands in the air & finally after realizing there were a few customers behind her, hiding her face. You got more help at the check out while still maintaining your calm & quite voice, trying everything in your powwr to help her out. You have been spotted!!!
On Thursday May 28, 2015 my truck oh so graciously broke down while waiting to turn at the Tucorora & Goyeau intersection. While trying to get it to start I had to keep waving vehicles to go past & trying to push it myself & after giving up the battle, thankfully 2 kind gentleman pulled over and pushed my truck off to the side of the road. The younger gentleman stayed and finally got my truck to start and sent me on my way. I still apologize for waving you to go around and being impatient at the thought you weren't listening to my hand gestures, between me being mad at the truck and my fianc giving me crap for trying to push it while pregnant I let my emotions get the best of me, but you still stopped and helped. I thank you so much and am glad that even when people are having bad days there are kind people to look past our negative attitudes. You two gentleman have been spotted and I can't thank you enough :)
I was admitted into the hospital on Sunday night (May 24) at around 7:30pm. In the emergency room, I had the kindest nurse helping me. His name was Cam and I truly believe he deserves a shoutout on here! I have sent an acknowledgement into the WRH website as well because I am a strong believer in telling people when they have made a difference in your life. My mother, fiancé, and I were all pleasantly surprised with how caring and compassionate he was - it truly seemed as though he cared about his patients! There really are some truly wonderful people working in our hospitals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I had been going through somewhat of a rough patch, and you made it that much easier to get through.
On our dinner out tonight to celebrate my birthday, a nice lady was thoughtful enough to tell the server something about us. We brought our 6 and 8 year old boys with us for dinner at Lorelei's Bistro and this lady commented how beautiful and well behaved they were! I just want to say thank-you for making our night even better! You are too kind and we appreciate your thoughtfulness! You have been spotted! Happy 28th anniversary to you and your husband!!!
I would like to give a shout out and a

I would like to spot the amazing staff of 8 west at WRH Ouellette campus. The nurses there are amazingly skilled and supportive. You're a fantastic example of what a team should be. You made my 5 day stay easier and a little fun. To Harold and Jennifer my physiotherapists thank you for helping get me back on my feet and moving. Julia, thank you for consoling me when I didn't think I could do it anymore. I love you all, I hope I never have to see you again tho. Love 815a
