Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Thank you to the many drivers that pulled over or stopped when my fiance family's funeral procession was driving in windsor today. Shows that some people still have respect for the deceased. To those who chose to cut threw and cut off the cars to the family. Shame on you. Have some manners.
My little girl had the most wonderful RAK at the strawberry fest last night. We waited for about 5 ish minutes to play the water gun game. A few kids came and we were about to play. A young lady maybe late teens/ early 20s came over to play to throw the kids up to the next prize level. The lady won and then turned to my daughter and "pick your prize honey, I saw you waiting for a long time to play" and walked away. I hope this lady, where ever she is, knows that she made the night of my 5 year old. & lt;3
Thank you to Mr. Lewis, who is a supply support staff, as well as an auxiliary police officer. He took time out of his day to visit the kindergarten class at Dr. David Suzuki Public School to surprise the students. He has worked in our classroom with our students previously and surprised them with this visit. The children were talking about it for the remainder of the day with huge smiles. Thank you!!!

My friend and I have been trying out different cuisines for lunch. We happened upon a new little restaurant located in between Howard and Ouellette Avenue on Tecumseh road, Eddy's Mediterranean Bistro. The food is excellent and the service was amazing. They are open 10am - 9pm every day. I recommend trying them out!

I would like to thank the lady who was at the spot on oulette Tues. I ordered lunch and realized I forgot my bank card at my previous location. After apolagizing to the gentleman serving me, I left. This kind lady, with a big friendly heart n smile, insisted on paying for me n my b.f lunch. Thank u again. It nice to be reminded that there are still friendly, generous, thotful, caring people left in Windsor.
I had to be off work for 8 weeks due to surgery on my shoulder yesterday was my first day back I'm still in a sling and am on modified work I just wanted all the wonderful ladies at the Tim Hortons on Walker Nd 42 they all rock they are so helpful and patient with me and words alone cannot express how much it means to me I was so scared about coming back and with your help it's making my transition so much easier couldn't ask for a better set of co workers
I would like to thank the team of Windsor Firefighters that let my 4 year old daughter sit in their truck last night on Grand Marais near Howard. She saw the truck parked and made me turn around to see it and they let her in, they sat and talked with her and were very engaging asking her about her dancing and what snack she was going to have. The guys were out doing smoke detector inspections and took time to make my little girl smile. The little things like this make the little ones feel special and build their confidence. I find Windsor Firefighters are always willing to let kids in their trucks and make them feel special. THANK YOU!
