I would like to commend the whole team who cared for me yesterday at Hotel Dieu when I went in for day surgery yesterday. From Admitting through Day Surgery on the 5th floor, Anaesthesia (Dr. R), Dr Lopez, all the OR nurses and those in PACU, and back up to Day Surgery again, there was not a single person who didn't make me smile and alleviate my anxiety about a procedure with a lot of unknowns.

This will be a long summer of recovery, but the first hurdle was made so much easier thanks to all of you.

And to the sweet lady in the bed beside me in Day Surgery - I am so terribly sorry that your surgery was postponed until Friday. It was my fault (although I was afraid to tell you). My case was the first case of the day, but because it turned into a significantly more complicated surgery than was expected, it took nearly 3 times longer than planned. I truly hope your procedure goes well and you recover quickly.

Too the two guys who helped me move the wheelchair off the road, just off oullette today next to the shoppers. Thank you so much for helping that man out and for helping lift the chair out of traffic you are amazing people.

To the girl walking down the alley between Hall and Moy on Sunday evening around 8-ish. We were sitting in our backyard when you walked by singing quite loudly. What an absolutely stunning voice you have! Wow!

I just want to let everyone know of a wonderful second hand store in Windsor .Its located at 620 Glengarry Ave .It's called the meeting house ran by a wonderful man by the Name of Ken Lori. There is so many nice things to choose from . The store has great customer service and ken and his staff always has a warm smile . Ken you have been spotted for being a great business person . Thanks so opening such a great place in Windsor and helping so many people .

To the young gentleman spotted in the parking lot outside of dollarama at riverdale and wyandotte at approx. 2:50pm on 06/ 15/ 15.You had headphones around your neck and you were lending your arm and assisting an elderly woman to her car. As soon as she was safely at her car you casually continued on your way and resumed listening to your headphones. A kind gesture that should be recognized as we dont see enough of this these days.

The hubby and I were in the ER this morning due to a shoulder injury, and the attending nurse, Nicole, was VERY attentive, and instead of brushing off his pains (unlike a certain doc at the Dieu), she put him through a battery of tests, gave him a muscle relaxer shot, and explained everything that was happening, she was very compassionate as well, and had a great sense of humor. After getting the results of his x-ray, she explained his options to him, and sent him on his way with a script for anti inflammatory pills.

Thanks for making him feel better Nicole, YOU ROCK!

Thank u to the wonderful Baker at Walmart on Tec.rd for making my daughter birthday so special. Thank u for doing extra for her cupcake display. ...we love it. I called a few cake places and could not get glow in dark cupcakes but u took the time to make it a little more special without being asked. Thank beautiful young lady you have been spotted for your kindness.

To the Fireman of Tanker 6 that were at Superstore on Walker Rd, thank you for making my daughters day. You let her sit in the truck and showed her compassion. She had never sat in a fire truck before and all she could say on the way home was " that was awesome!!". The men and women that risk their lives every day for our city are never thanked enough. You truly made a 4yr old little girls day. She now wants to be a firelady.
