Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I would just like to give recognition to the staff at Windsor Allergy and Asthma clinic. While waiting for my appointment today there was a medical emergency. I know they were just doing their jobs but I would just like to give the staff a huge thank you for the way they handled everything. The entire team from the secretary to the nurses and Dr.s all stepped in to help calmly and efficiently. The lady was in very capable hands until the ambulance arrived and I hope and pray you are okay you seemed to be alert by the time EMS had arrived. I know it is thanks to the exceptional team work from all the Allergy staff who helped! She was in the best care possible because of your dedication to being focused on her in a time of need!
Thank you very much to the kind woman at the corner ow manning and 42 who gave me her hitch pin without a second thought after somehow my lockable one came apart and wiggled its way out. Your kindness will not go unnoticed and I will pay it forward. You have been spotted!!!
Thank you so much to the lady in front of us at Tim Hortons this morning. We were in the drive thru and my kids always ask if we can pay for the people behind us. We usually do but today when we drove up to the Window we had a surprise. The person ahead of us paid for our order, and I'll tell you that was totally unexpected. My order was just over 12 dollars and I couldn't believe someone paid for it. I gave the cashier the money I was going to pay for my order and the next order and had her use it on the next few orders. Thank you so much for adding that much more excitement to our Tim Hortons visit.
Today at our restaurant,Michigan Diner on Tecumseh and Lauzon, this amazing and adorable gentleman, gave one of our servers $100 bill to pay for the meals of other costumers, and the others paid it forward all day long, it was amazing to witness this kindness and generosity, bless your beautiful soul,Sir!!!
I had a car accident on Buckingham today where I was 100% at fault. Although I sustained minor injuries, the care I received from EMS and surrounding neighbors were gracious & compassionate! One neighbour provided me with a bottle water. Another walking by was the first on the scene and made sure I was alright! I wish I had gotten your names. A gentleman (Al) from the area called police and ambulance on my behalf. He helped my daughter empty personal belongings from my vehicle and provided us with a ride home afterwards. The owner of the vehicle I hit was calm & showed concern for my wellbeing! EMS gave me excellent care (blood pressure & EKG) All results were clear! I sustained minor injuries to my sternum! I am grateful to you all. Your help and concerns eased my shell shocked nerves which kept me calm and free from distress! Thank you my neighbouring Windsorites!
Yesterday morning I was heading south on Gladstone and there was a school bus on Erie stopped right before the intersection with doors open and flashers on. I stayed at the stop sign even though I was proceeding straight ahead until the bus finished loading. Was that the proper thing to do?apparently not according to the cars behind me but I feel that the safety of children is more important than rushing somewhere. What's the law there? I have no idea.
To the women who took charge at directing traffic at the accident on tecumseh @12:30pm today I was trying to give you a complement but I think you took it the wrong way. I was impressed with how you took charge of the scene especially since you were just a bystander. I told the passenger In my vehicle as soon as I seen you take charge how that right there is a person you want working for you. You were amazing. Hope you see this.
Today a kind gentleman in line with me at Tim Hortons on walker and wyandotte, bought a dozen of the smiley cookies for me to bring to work and share with the kids in my program. Was so nice of him and the kids were excited to get a treat. ☺ï¸
