Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the lady in the pink shirt at the Superstore on Walker on Tuesday around 1:00 pm. You toddler was screaming and throwing tantrums the entire time you were shopping. I had tears in my eyes thinking about your struggle. I want you to know: you were doing a great job and you are not alone. We've all been there. Hugs to you.
Wanted to say thank you to the person in front of me at Timmies on Ottawa St. at about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon for paying for my order. Its been a rough couple of weeks for me and wanted to say you have been SPOTTED for bringing a smile to my face! I have done this for others but has never happened to me and today was a day I really needed to smile! Thankyou Again!!
On our way to the fire works my nephew Jordan wanted to see the police bike , Officer David got off his bike & down to the kids level and answered every question they had.
Never seen a kid so excited before
Thank you officer David for taking the time to give a positive outlook & talking to the kids .
Way to go WPD !
Would just like to say a huge thank you to the great guys from Fire Station 2 on Milloy n Chandler. On 2 separate occasions each of my 2 kids have been given a tour an gotten to play on the trucks n turn the lights on! You guys may have gotten a rough welcome to the neighbourhood but you are all making a great impression! Thank you so much!
I want to say thank you to Ann Marie, one of the event staff at the German village during Carrousel of the Nations this past weekend. I had just purchased a German sausage and potato salad when the paper plate folded and spilled all the food on the floor - wasting $8.50. But Ann Marie saw the whole thing and compassionately replaced the meal for free! Now that's German hospitality. Danke Schön! Vielen Dank!
Spotted: Today I went for a walk down to the river front like I do a few times a week to goose watch all of the goose families. Today I brought my new camera to try and get some great shots of the babies as they are loosing their baby feathers and starting to look quite grown up. I noticed a young man huddled over something on the ground with many geese around him, it was a baby goose. He was being so gentle with the baby goose trying to cut its legs free from some fishing line that had become tangled around its legs. The baby began to struggle and in a second a woman on a bicycle stopped put her hand over the young gooses eyes to calm it and the young man cut the baby free. The worried goose parents looked on but they were not being aggressive towards the young man its like they knew he was helping. Once the baby was cut free it rejoined its family for a swim :) I just wanted to say thank you to that young man and woman who helped! That baby would not have survived without your intervention.
I want to thank Kel and his team at Goodyear Beverly Tire on Lauzon Pkwy. They are trustworthy, HONEST and always do a great job. I had a couple of issues with my car this weekend and they put my mind at ease by taking care of it all. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work!!!
I highly recommend them!
Just a reminder to all the dog owners. The majority of dogs don't like fireworks, they hurt their ears and can scare them. So let's try and avoid all the lost dog posts tomorrow that say their dog ran away because they got scared at the fireworks. Let's remember to protect our furbabies tonight and keep them home!! Hope everyone has a safe and great night! & #127878;& #127879;
