Yesterday we had to put our 10 year old Golden down. It is heartbreaking to make the decision that is best for our fur baby. But the bill to do it...was outrages!!

Why can there not be a compassion fund for this situation?? Everytime a purchase or payment is made at a vet's office, why can't $.50 or $1.00 go towads a fund for our fur babies that have to be put down. Why does that moment have to come down to making a profit still. Why can't some of the stress be taken off the owners. Our bill was $224 for sedation and 2 injections, second one seemed unnecessary, measure out enough for the first one....Just a thought for any vets or vet technicians....we pay enough to keep our pets healthy....give the parents of the fur babies a break!!

Yesterday I received a call on my answering machine that said that I owed money to collections for past taxes not paid. I was surprised by this because I didn't remebering owing anything but I own my own small business and I thought I might have missed something. I called back the # its 1-855-487-8483 it sounded like a legit government number I even had to hold to talk to someone. The person said asked for my phone number and said my name and address after I give it to him.. He said I owed $3000 in back taxes. It was a little rude so I asked to talk to his manager, he refused to let me talk to anyone else and told me the RCMP would be taking me to court for back taxes and coming to a arrest me in half an hour; I felt shocked and upset I told him I needed some more information from him and had to call him Back after talk to my husband. He gave me a bogus website name (which turned out to be a profanity ) and I hung up on him. My husband looked it up and found out the phone number was a scam. I'm usually not so gullible but I was quite upset by this call; be careful not to give out any personal information people I didn't give out anything that wasn't in the phone book. Also if it's a legit government site they will have your information you don't need to give it out.. Just warning everyone !

After burning myself at work there was no clinic open late at night so I had decided to go to the hospital. After being notified by other patients that the wait time was 6-8 hours I was about ready to leave. I definitely felt out of place because it's not a life threatening injury. That's when the nurse called me up to sign me in when I told her what had happened. Instead of making me wait hours before I could get some sort of cream she decided to go grab me some to avoid the wait. I couldn't thank her enough for being so kind, I wish I could've gotten your name! You've been spotted!

Amani from Sunglass Hut! You have the kindest heart. I watched from far as you assisted one of my students with special needs. You gave him all of your attention and patience as you two picked out a nice pair of glasses for him, he had a wonderful time! Thank you for reminding us that there are still great people in this community. You Rock!

To the nurse at Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus, in the Nuclear Medicine Department, you've been spotted. It was so nice to meet someone who you could tell was truly passionate about her job and her patients. Not only did you take the time to explain every detail of the testing to me and answer my questions, you made me feel very comfortable. Your great at your job and it does not go unnoticed!
