(Askin Bag Struggler)

Not so much spotted, but was part of, 2 U of W Students named Jack and Heath, Helped me with my bags and luggage, on Askin street (near Gigolo's and Wyandotte) and I have too honestly say it meant a lot too me that these 2 nice dudes, took their time out of their night just to help me with my stuff and get to my friend's place without pulling a muscle., If only their were more nice people like this in Windsor. Let alone more University Students as nice as these guys.

Windsor is usually mostly full of creeps and thieves but Jack and Heath deserve Recognition for their wonderful help. It also proves, if you're lucky enough you will find nice and helpful gems like these two guys. Thanks alot. :)

And as always Shine On, Hope too see you two at Shinerama.

Mixed Customer Service at Zehrs on Manning

I was at Zehrs on Manning this morning. The store was not very busy. I asked the woman working at the self check out if she knew if the store carried a product I was looking for. Her response was she didn't know. When I asked her if she would be able to look it up her response was " I'm not able to look that up. My screen doesn't allow me to do that." She did not even offer to call someone else in the store to help me.
However I went back out into the store and found another male worker walking by. He didn't know what I was talking about but he stopped and asked another lady worker if she knew. She immediately knew what I was talking about and directed me to the shelf. On my way out of the store the first worker was spending her time talking to two other workers.
I really appreciated the customer service of the last two Zehrs workers. The first one really needs some work with her customer service.

You never know how your actions may strongly impact a stranger

To the lovely women with the 'Say Yes to the Dress' signs supporting a gorgeous bride at Sophie's Gown Shoppe at 1:30-2:30 on Saturday September 12th....

....Thank you so much!

You had no idea that I had received news of my mother's spinal fractures and spreading cancer only days before. You had no idea that I'd barely slept all week, driven 3 hours from Stratford the day before, had only seen my awesome 3 year old son for about 20 minutes that day and you had no idea that I left my mom's bedside in Leamington while she was in excruciating pain to have my first fitting for my wedding in 5 weeks. You had no idea that the pictures my mother in law was taking was so that my mom could see me in my dress.

I must have looked strange (It was clear that I didn't do anything to look pretty that day) or too solemn to you all. Smiling felt awkward and innappropriate. Or maybe you just really loved my dress (I sure do! It's even prettier than I remember!). Regardless, as I stood alone in front of the mirror while my mother in law attempted to capture the moment in pictures and video for my mom, I heard you call out and when I looked in the mirror, you all had your 'Say Yes to the Dress' signs held up. For a moment I thought your bride had come out in another stunning dress and you (a wonderfully enthusiastic bunch) were just reacting. It took a moment to realize that you meant it for me! You gave me the pomp and circumstance that I didn't have fo myself in that moment....so THANK YOU!

I like to think of myself as a rock, but I had a moment standing there where I became overwhelmed and started to cry. When I brought my hands down from my face, I had someone placing a tissue in my hand and smiling as she told me that it had come from her pocket. She reassured me that it wasn't used lol. THANK YOU again!

When I showed the special details that I had added to my gown, you all oohed and aahed as if you knew me. Again THANK YOU!

As I changed back into the t-shirt and jeans that I threw on in the morning hoping to get to the hospital early enough to catch the doctor (I failed!) I REALLY wanted to thank you all in person, but I decided not to because I REALLY didn't want to detract from your bride's moment with my drama. It would not have been fair to her

Regardless, you ladies brightened what was a stressful, exhausting and otherwise miserable day. You gave me a bit of the experience that I'd dreamed about and had been looking forward to. These last weeks before my wedding are very different than I thought they'd be a year ago, or even a month ago!

You wonderful, loud, enthusiastic bold women are amazing! You remind me of my awesome aunts, 2/ 6 of which were with my mom so that I could have my fitting. The bride you came to support really did look beautiful in everything so it's no wonder you were all pumped up....but for what it's worth I liked the ivory one with the fitted sparkly bodice and the full skirt ;) I hope she ended up Saying Yes to the Dress!

Thank you all so much...you have no idea how your kindness impacted me yesterday.

Cocoa and Brownie WECHS

Yesterday we decided spontaneously to stop into the Windsor Essex County Humane Society to show our children where our dog was rescued from. There we witnessed the sweetest connection between two 4 year old chocolate lab/ retriever mix dogs Cocoa and Brownie. While it was sort of chaotic in there with lots of dogs barking and jumping around in their pens, Cocoa and Brownie were just laying down quietly cuddling together in the sun. They are a bonded pair and the WECHS would like them to go to a good home together ideally. If you know anyone with a good home looking for two great dogs, please suggest they come visit these two. They seemed like really loving, gentle dogs. If we had room for 3 dogs we would have brought them home in a heartbeat!

Red Lobster's serving up more then food

Tonight was date night, my brother in-law was in the mood for sea food and all eight of is decided to stand by him and the long 90 minute wait for a table to enjoy endless shrimp at Red Lobster (most of us are not sea food eaters and have never been to Red Lobster). Once we finally got seated, Michelle and Lisa, the best waitresses in all of Windsor (as nominated by me) made the wait worth while! Their whit and humour were beyond words, we have never laughed this hard in a public space. Michelle and Lisa were more then great waitresses they were great entertainers, it was like being at a diner show. The food was OK, but the over the top attention and character that Michelle and Lisa put into the night made it very memorable! Thanks ladies!
