Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
It was good to see all the helpful people in the villages of Riverside! There mustve been 10 or more people trying to catch "Leo". And thank you to all the cars that stopped as not to hit him. Finally got him! Had a few chomp marks but went to the clinic and got a tetnis shot to be safe! Go windsor!
I was a Shoppers Drug Mart this morning with my sister in law, her daughter, and my two young boys. My three year old wanted a toy, and I had told him no, as I'm trying to teach him that we don't always get something when we go to the store. He is usually pretty good about it, but today was just not his day. He threw one of the biggest tantrums I've ever seen. He screamed and yelled and carried on throughout the store. I went right to the cashier to check out with my diapers and milk, iF I hadn't needed them so badly I probably would of just left. My son screamed and cried and rolled around on the ground.
That moment I just wanted to sink into the floor. Then the sweetest lady came over to me, a complete stranger, put her hand on my shoulder and said "you know you're a great mom. I see you're trying to teach your son a lesson. You're doing a good job by staying firm in your no. It's not always easy, but it will be worth it". She gave me such a nice smile.
Thank you so much for that. I needed to hear those words more then you'll ever know. You see, my 8 month old has been sick for two nights, not sleeping. My three year old is starting to try his independence, and I was just running on empty this morning. You took two minutes to say some kind words to a mother who was really struggling in that moment. Thank you, Thank you......the world could use more people like you.
The biggest thanks ever to the gentleman on Little River this morning who pointed me in the right direction after my dog had ran away and helped me find him! I was incredibly upset and would have missed him if you hadn't helped :) My day could have ended a lot worse. Thank you! :)
To the man that helped flag down my greyhound at 130 this morning, thank you. I heard her bark to come in and the wind had blown the gate open. She's a greyhound. She ran. After what I am guessing to be about a mile or so my asthma kicked in and I couldn't run anymore. I saw a car approaching and my dog in the middle of the road and just started crying. I flagged you down, and you seemed a little hesitant like "who's this crazy lady waving her arms on Malden rd at 130am?" I asked please, just get out, she will come to you. Sure enough, after ignoring me and running our exact path for our walks, she stopped, and ran right to you, even jumped up happy to see you lol. Thank you. Cagney means everything to me and no doubt she was going to run right into the park at night and I'm not sure what the outcome may have been.
I want to spot the kind people who stopped to help the 2 kittens that had been hit by cars on Riverside Drive this morning on October 29th about 8:45 am. I drove past a little orange and white kitten in the middle of the road struggling. I wanted to help so I turned down the next street to turn around and saw a second calico kitten laying on the road. A nice man had stopped to help that one. I hope he found the nearest vet like he wanted to, and thank you for helping that kitten. When I was about to turn to go help the other, I saw that someone had stopped to save it. Thank you to you as well whoever you are. It's nice to see that people care about animals as much as I do. For that I thank you. If anyone has an update on the kittens conditions, I would appreciate knowing if they lived. Thank you.
I was brought to the Ouellette Campus Er dept. Sat night (Oct 24) by 2 very caring and compassionate paramedics Dawn and Mona THANK YOU for helping keep my calm and get as comfortable as possible. I would also like to thank Dr Thomas for compassion and care as well. These 3 ladies made my night go by a little easier with their care and compassion. Thank-you again for showing me there are people in the medical field that still actually enjoy their job and care for the patients P.S. hope Dawn and Mona had a safe trip to London and Back
Just wanting to send a shout out to a gentleman who paid for our lunch at the Back Road on Sunday. My husband is a veteran of the Korea War and had his vet jacket on and the gentleman must have seen it. So whoever you are if you are reading this, thank you, you have been Spotted!
On Friday October 23rd I had to go the police station to get a police clearance for my new job! I had my two year old daughter with me. My daughter was throwing a fit and misbehaving. I was starting to get very embarrassed and the people in the station were just staring. One police officer came over, maybe he noticed I was embarrassed and couldn't handle it. Friday was a very important day for me! I had stuff to do for my friend’s wedding the next day, I had a very important exam that evening at four and I was overwhelmed. The police officer came over and handed my two year old a Windsor police pin. I'm sure you didn't know I was overwhelmed, terrified, stressed, and didn't know if I could handle the situation. I was feeling like I could lose it at any moment in time and just start crying. You have been spotted for taking time out of your busy day to give her a moment in time. Even though I was embarrassed and overwhelmed I was so shocked to see you take the time to greet us.
So thank you a million times, thank you. I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me on that October day.
