Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I had my birthday dinner at the Keg yesterday evening & I had exceptional service from our waiter David, he helped explain the menu to the first timers from my party & had found vegan options for the non meat eaters. I complimented his service to his supervisor but I feel that many more people need to know. David you are an asset to that company & because of you I plan on having more get togethers at the Keg in the future, thank you again.
I just want to thank a man by the name of Joseph whom I met at met hospital this morning. I had been there for 16 hours and we got to talking and I mentioned I needed a coffee. Well the nurse walked in with a coffee he asked her to deliver to me. Thank you so much. You are a great man. I hope all is well!
To the young man and the driver of the 604 westbound 1C tonight:
Thank you. The thirty or so seconds of your time that it took to wait for me to cross the street with my daughter riding on my shoulders made my day so much better. It seems so simple, and for most people it's just a little thing, but my gratitude for that little moment today is immeasurable.
I've been struggling a lot lately with my health and my mental state's been suffering considerably. I had been feeling incredibly alone, and not wanting to live anymore. But today, when you spent time even doing a simple task to make my day better, I felt more alive than I have in days. I feel less like a burden now, and I hope things keep looking up for me from here.
I will absolutely be sure to pass the kindness on.
thank you to the man who at goodwill on walker road left money after he paid for his to pay for the next in line . Me, you paid for my nutcrackers and a couple people behind me . A great act of kindness thank you. I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend. Thank you
When I got home yesterday there was a note on my door. Saying RAK ( randam Act of Kindness ) . It turns out that the grade school down the street from me, Gordon McGregor Public School had some of the students raking the leaves up in the neighbourhood. I really think this was great considering that we have quite a few elder people on our street.I just want to give a big THANK YOU to Gordon McGregor and their students for doing such a great job and to let them know that it did not go unnoticed :)
Today, as a passenger in a vehicle driving down Meldrum Road close to Tecumseh Road, we passed a grade school of which I missed reading the name. Armed with rakes and bags, a teacher, along with her entire classroom of young children were raking leaves on lawns across from the school. The class had split up so a few houses were being done at one time. Kudos to the teacher for getting these kids out in the fresh air. Not only did you provide them with exercise but you taught them what a "Good Samaritan" is all about. For you children, I hope you are very proud of yourselves because I certainly am.
To the young gentleman who looked to be in his early 20's possibly and who was driving a small black car in Essex on November 3rd on Maidstone Ave in front of the Reid Funeral home. You were driving on Maidstone Ave when you realized the road was blocked by police for the funeral of our Retired EMS Chief you had pulled over as you should for a funeral procession but then you did the unimaginable. You got out of your vehicle, came to stand in line with all of the uniformed officers who were saluting the funeral procession and you stood at attention with all of us and saluted our Retired Chief. Your class, respect and honor did not go unnoticed and I commend you on your display of respect.
Sincerely,
Paramedic with Essex Windsor EMS.
Today I had two young ladies come into Tony's Chargrill for lunch, I don't know their names as I didn't get to spend much time with them reason being I was still cooking in the kitchen most of the time they were here. After their lunch they left, a few minutes later I see one of them coming back in. I thought they had forgotten something behind, no they didn't. One of them was bringing me a rose and wanted to say thank you to me. Well , that really touched me and sure made my day. I want to say THANK YOU ladies, you made someone very happy today, me. Once again thank you.
