Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
To the person who drove by my house and saw my son laying on the ground at 6am thank you for carrying enough to call 911/ LaSalle Police. Luckily I was starting to wake up when the LaSalle Police showed up to make sure everything was fine. Everyone was in the house when the officer showed up and now I will have a lovely file with C.A.S. Thankfully my son is at an age where he is able to have some freedoms and the C.A.S understand that, I hope. However let me add this little P.S.A ---If you are concerned about a child laying outside at night or at 6am when it is cold out stop your run, stop your walk, stop your car and check them out! We have all heard stories of children who are very young sneaking out at night and freezing. If you are concerned enough to call police you should also be willing to help if needed. I am sure your fitness high will still be there or your boss will be understanding that you had to help a child. The 5 to 10 minutes that it takes for EMS or police to show up could mean the difference in life and death to child on a cold night.
On such a blustery day, it makes me feel so good when I see cars stopping to get garbage pails off the road instead of driving around them. The action was contageous and I must say not only did I then stop, but then so did the next car. Actions do speak to all
A HUGE thank you to the man that found my son's wallet on the 1C last night. Nice to see people are still honest in todays society.
To The Officer Who pulled over the Truck that was driving down central and Ran a Stop Sign. I want to say thanks it's nice to see officers care about our neighbourhood. Thank god there was no one crossing the street as it is a busy street crossing. It could if been alot worse.
Thank you Windsor police
Myself and two of my children were just leaving the dollarama at central mall just a few minutes ago and watched a kind woman pay for the goods that belonged to the younger man behind her!!! He was insisting she didn't have to and she insisted she wanted to. What a great thing for us to witness. A positive teachable moment. You've been spotted :)
I would like to take a moment to Thank the STC Construction Group Employees who were working on St. Anne's street in Tecumseh yesterday November 6th, 2015. I'm not sure how many people saw you during my Husbands Grandfather Roland St. Pierre's funeral procession, but for those that did...Thank you for pausing your work to provide a moment of silence and honour to our family as we drove by. The men outside took off their hard hats and layed them on their hearts until the funeral procession ended. A beautiful moment that was appreciated and noticed with grateful hearts.
To the very kind man that just paid for my groceries at the Box No Frills on Wyandotte and George about 30 min ago, I just wanted to say Thank You again! It is nice to see the random kindness of people. You made my day! :)
At around 1230 today my son and I were in the freshco parking lot looking for a spot when a man backed out of his spot. . Not looking and hit the back of my van. I got out and instantly told him I was worried because of my sweet 2 year old was in the back. He then proceeded to tell me that I was in the wrong and should have been looking where I was driving and that my van was fine. Well the last thing I was worried about was my car. As him and his wife are blaming me I opened the back van to care for my son, who was completely shaken up and scared. I tried to console him as this couple who hit me could have cared less. He told me the van was fine and my kid was fine when clearly he was not. So now my son and I are bawling due to unsympathetic and rude people. Where out of nowhere a woman and an elderly man came up and consoled the both of us. She rubbed my shoulder and told me she completely understood where I was coming from because she herself had children. Her and my son talked about monster trucks and she really helped calm us both down. I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for coming over, thank you for rubbing my shoulder and getting my son's mind off of what had just taken place. I was feeling very alone while being blamed for something I did not do and you came to my rescue. I thank you for that and so does my son!!! Tyvm
