Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
This morning I was running late to catch my bus to work. As I walked out of the house I saw the bus go by and sighed. Then I saw the bus stop! I quickly got to the bus and thanked the driver. He said he saw me and knew I take this bus, the central 3. I so appreciate you kindness. It hasn't been my first kind driver. Thanks transit driver you've been spotted.
I picked up my son from school today with the thought that my daughter had tutoring as she does every Monday and Wednesday, so my son and I went to Sobeys on Manning Rd. to pick up stuff for dinner. No sooner did we get into the store the school called to say tutoring was canceled. We rushed out to go pick her up and my car wouldn't start. I went into the store after asking many people in the parking lot if they had jumper cables and also construction workers that where working on the store and no one could help me. As I was talking to the employees a young man name Josh who was there to drop off a resume over heard me and offered to help me. After about 20 minutes we finally got it started. I just wanted to thank him again for his kindness and if anyone from Sobeys sees this please consider hiring him I think he would be a great asset to you team. If he's willing to help out a complete stranger, think of what he can bring to your company. Thanks again Josh. Also would like to thank my daughters vice principal for bringing her to me.

My best friend and her husband and I were in a car accident today on Wyandotte and chilver and while we were waiting for the car to be towed this kind lady came out of nowhere to ask us if we were ok and offered us a hug! She felt so bad for us, you could see it in her eyes. We were all ok but to receive such kindness from a stranger was so nice to see! I just wanted to share this because during this time of year there's so much hustle and bustle and people kind of ignore each other so thank you kind lady for bringing smiles to our faces and warming our souls with your hug! Be safe everyone and pay attention to your surroundings smile emoticon
What a blessing I experienced today:) On my way to school today I was following a funeral procession on Dominion from Tecumseh Rd. To Cabana Rd and I am so impressed by the amount of oncoming traffic (almost every vehicle) that pulled over to pay respect for the deceased and to allow the procession to pass..even a police officer that turned his lights on at a stop sign to allow them to pass without incident. It was such a beautiful thing to see especially this time of year when we are all in such a rush and so preoccupied with our own agendas. I must say I am thankful I was able to witness this today:) What an awesome thing to see:)
Today while parking at my doctors office, I was rummaging through my purse looking for change to pay for parking. I was short about .50 cents. A woman had just walked out of the building and saw me standing there and offered to give me her parking ticket that was good for the rest of the day. It really was a small gesture of kindness but it made my day and saved me from possibly getting towed. Thank you to the woman who did this. I will be paying it forward.
Today my puppy seemed to have a skin infection around his bum area. I took him to the rivard animal hospital and they told me it could be his glands and released the fluid that was bothering him. When I came home he was still rubbing his bum on the carpet so I called and they told me to come back. I wasn't very happy that I had to pay more money since I am low income and work to support my mother who is disabled and my brother who is going through school. They gave my pup anti biotics and a cream. They asked if I wanted de worming but I couldn't afford it. The doctor left and came back and told me he would give him de worming for free. When I went to pay the total was way out of my budget and I was almost in tears. They waved the price of the cream and the price of the exam. I told them I would come back and pay them once I get paid but they wouldn't allow that ! So to the team at the rivard animal hospital, thank you for your generosity. You guys truly care about your customers and give the best care out there. I will pay it forward!
Thank you to the Tim Hortons on North Talbot and Walker road in Windsor for the awesome free lunch at the drive-thru today! Merry Christmas to these hard working people I see every day!
