Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Champs Sports in Devonshire mall has some of the best employee's in Windsor. Here's one that stands out. Sami, a M.I.T at Champs Sports dug deep into his personal pocket and donated socks, shirts and more for the refugees anticipated to come to Windsor. His dedication and compassion deserves some much needed recognition. Way to go Sami.
Huge shout out to the awesome staff in the Met Hospital Emerg on Tuesday afternoon. I was there with my daughter who needed stitches after hitting her head. The waiting room was crowded and the ambulances were coming in one after the other, but the nurses and physicians were so kind and efficient - giving every patient the care they needed and deserved. Your professionalism and patience was wonderful to see.
Although I've repeatedly received awful customer service and almost no help from the ladies at the express store at Devonshire, every experience at the bigger one in the food court has been amazing. On Saturday I was shopping for my daughter and I. It was my daughter's first time. We received a lot of help from a young lady named Farah. She kept apologizing because she was not feeling well and her voice had almost gone missing. But she was so helpful. Imagine all the help we would have gotten if she was feeling her best!! She truly is wonderful. We got home and I called my girlfriend to tell her about the shopping date and I mentioned LaSenza and she told she only goes in to see Farah as well. I know Farah mentioned something about having finals this week so I hope she sees this to cheer her up!
Thank you so much for all your help, even when it was so busy and you weren't feeling well. You are great at what you do, making people feel good and loved. Good luck on your finals we will see you soon for sure !! You've been spotted
Thank you to the group of people with the large order at dairy queen drive thru in Chatham in September. Little did you know, the gentlemen who you bought icecream for behind you in line just came from the hospital, from being with his dying wife. Thank you for bringing a small smile to my dad's face, his favourite treat, an icecream. My mom passed away a few days later and its nice to have a small happy memory during that difficult time.
Two sweet little boys dressed in their Sabres hockey uniforms and twinkling Santa hats just came to our house collecting canned goods for the less fortunate for Christmas. Their dad was driving the van and these two fellas from the Sabres AA Atom Minor team were braving the cold to do some good for the community. If you see them around, please check your pantry and make their efforts worth it! Amazing job boys, coaches and parents!! You should be so proud! You've been spotted!
I was at 711 today at ottawa and parent ave around 2;15 and there was an older man sitting on the curb looked to be homeless he had no shoes or socks on. I thought to ask him if he wanted a drink as I was leaving ,as I was in the store I watched many people pass him by giving him dirty looks. When as I was done cashing out I went outside and I see this lady walk up to him and offer him a hot beverage he said no and so she sat next to him and started to talk to him , as I walked away I kept watching and she stayed and sat with him I nearly cried thinking there are good people out there , If you open your eyes and watch!! You young lady are amazing and I hope you have an amazing Christmas!!
Just want to take the time to spot my amazing coworkers from JYSK. They are some of the hardest working and genuinely wonderful people to be around.
So as we go into this wonderful holiday season, I'd like to tell them all they've done a great job and I couldn't be more proud to call them my work family.
I just want to say thank you to the front line staff at the McDonalds on walker road. They were so nice to my son and I this morning. They have the best customer service!
