Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Yesterday around 4pm my father was walking to his truck after having a test done at the hospital, while he was walking his blood sugar dropped and he collapsed. Julie was able to contact my mom with my dads phone, got him some chocolate and called an ambulance, My mom and I would like to thank Julie, her neighbor and the 2 paramedics who helped my father yesterday.
Thank you will never be enough!!!
On my way back to work at lunch today I was behind a funeral procession. Although I wasn't part of it, it was so touching to see the cars and transport trucks alike pulled over to the side of the road to let the procession pass. It's nice to see that still happens.
Merry Christmas to the person who started the pay it forward train at the Tim Hortons on Ottawa St at 2 o'clock or just before. I was the third person who had it done to them in the drive thru as I was told. My order was 21.74 not the average persons order because I bought a $20 gift card for my daughter's school teacher. I thought only the coffee was paid for but nope the whole thing :) I love doing pay it forwards so with my 20 dollar bill in hand I gave it to the worker and said keep it going :) It feels good enough to do it to someone else but to have it done to you feels amazing....Cheers all and Merry Christmas P.S. I hope the person ahead of me reads this to find out they touched more than one person. :)
My sister and I would like to thank the kind man in Tim Horton's store on Howard, late Wednesday night. Server's were so slow and he had an order very long and server kept messing it up he turned to us and asked what we were ordering and he said he wanted to cover our order for us having to wait so long. Merry Christmas young man and Thank You once again.
I want to give a shout out to Bob from Transit Windsor drives the Central 3 early mornings. This is my grand daughters first year of high school and pretty much riding the bus alone. She was quite nervous doing this for her first time worrying about how she will know when to get off, will she make it to school on time and so on. Well Bob has been very kind to her feeling very secured while riding on his bus to school. If she missed the bus one morning he will ask her the next day why she didn't get on his bus. One time her pass had expired and forgot to get it renewed for the first of the month he says to her not to worry that they give them a pass on it the first day and allows them to ride. Then she misplaced her pass another day but had a buss ticket he asked why the bus ticket she explained that she misplaced her pass he says well honey you didn't have to pay so he took the ticket and wrote a little note on it so she could return home with it. Bob is a very kind and compassionate transit bus driver and I would like to say thank you for taking good care of my grand daughter while riding your bus. Merry Christmas Bob I hope you like the gift my grand daughter bought for you to say thank you for the exceptional job you are doing.

I want to send a BIG Thank you to Davis School. This year my family hit a big financial problem and we wouldn't have been able to have a Christmas because of it. At the very last minute Davis staff went out of their way and helped my family. So thank you to Davis staff for everything you have done for my family.
