Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I want to spot Jill that works at the Windsor Fire & Rescue service. She went above and beyond by writing me a letter thanking me for sharing the letter that was posted on Spotted on May 21, 2016 as follows about how Windsor Firefighters played with kids on the street. I passed the message along to the Administrative Assistant so that these Firefighters can be given medals for their hard work and dedication.
Please be kind to the Firefighters when they are out at the grocery stores, handing out educational pamplets and also when they are allowing your children as well as the community to look at the Fire Trucks. Its still a shame a few people complain that Firefighters should not be involved in the community. To those people, shame on you for writing complaints about that.
Jill, you have been Spotted for giving me the appreciation to share this letter with you and for saying how important it is for Firefighters to be part of the community. To Chief Bruce Montone, thank you for hiring this wonderful lady.
From the guy that volunteers for the Crime Prevention Council.
The mastermind behind "WE put the WIN in Windsor" deserves to be spotted. She (and that's all I know about the page administrator) has managed to maintain a Facebook page about the positive things going on in this city. The page is not political and not religious. It is current, engaging and about this area. I can only imagine the amount of time she has spent bookmarking sources of happiness in WE. This page is making a legitimate attempt to engage our citizens.
She's doing a fantastic job. Check out her page if you want to feel good about where we live.
Saturday May 21,2016 i got to witness something I have only read in books. This day not only made my day but my 3 beautiful girls day. I came home to grab something Ihad forgot, and saw a fire truck pull down my dead end street(1600 curry block) and I immediately was hoping everything and everyone on my street was going to be ok. That's when these 4 amazing fire fighters parked their truck got out and played basketball with the kids on our street. They then allowed them and my girls to sit in the truck. They were only coming to do an inspection on a privately owned home when they saw the kids and thought, im going to get out and play with them. YOUR SMALL BUT SPECIAL GESTURE HAS BEEN ON MY MIND ALL WEEK AND CANNOT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK YOU DO FOR OUR CITY! Thank you for making my day and my girls day.
sincerly one proud and so thankful for you men and woman who fight for us
This is drone footage from the fire Monday morning as our windsor fire department work to put it out.

About a month ago, we ordered pizza from Cheese Wheelz on Lauzon. It was almost entirely burned. I took a pic & sent it to the manager, who said in part "you ate most of it, so it couldn't have been that bad). Toppings were burnt too. I decided that was it for me from cheese wheelz. About a week ago a new manager for cheese wheelz contacted me and was very apologetic & suggested I try again - Her name is Chrissy, and she works at the Tecumseh location, as well as Dougall. This pizza was MUCH better, and she even gave us garlic bread. Thank-you Chrissy, for customer service (and Pizza) done right
I want to spot all the Police Officers, Members of the Windsor-Essex community, and members of the Windsor Police Service for launching the "Stop A Bully" campaign to encourage others in the community to not be a bystander. Also, special thanks to Chief Al Frederick for supporting this video as well.
All these individuals deserve a medal for their hard work and dedication to make Windsor-Essex a more inclusive community for all. I have put the website for people to watch this video.
I lost a set of keys today while walking my dogs. If anyone found my keys, please message me!!
I walked from the 1600 block of Alexis road to the 1800 block, down Milloy to Albert, Albert to Reginald and back to Alexis rd.
2 walks with my dogs.
I also walked on Alice between Alexis and Albert.
A bunch of keys on a carabiner clip.
Thank you!
To the associates at Rexall on Huron Church who maintained their professionalism while a older couple were screaming, calling them names and swearing at them about company policies they were unable to change: I am sorry that certain people do not feel the need to respect others. I am always baffled to see how poorly people are treated in the retail and service industry. You did an amazing job at being patient and kind to a couple who did not deserve it. Please know that there are people who appreciate you and that you did a great job.
To the older couple swearing and calling people names for doing their jobs: you should be ashamed of yourselves. Also, if you wanted me to mind my own buisness, you should have kept your voice down. I will not stand idly by as you abuse another person in my presence for no reason. Please note that to articulate my point to you I never had to swear or yell. Bullying isn't an acceptable practice and someone half your age shouldn't have to call you out on it.
Be kind to the people just trying to do their jobs on the daily and have some respect for others.
