Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
I would like to spot A young man named James who works at Bowring in the Windsor Crossing Mall. I want him to know his kindness and willingness to help was not unnoticed. What makes me want to submit this spotting is a couple weeks ago I was shopping at the outlet mall and I decided to go look at pictures for the home I am building. I witnessed him helping a lady who I would describe as a difficult customer. He kept his composure and remained so polite and tried so many different options to help this lady. In the end she couldn't be pleased (I don't think anything would have made her happy) and I watched her exit the store without so much as a thank you for your time. He didn't even miss a beat. He proceeded to help me get my print off the wall and his smile was everlasting. He cashed me out and brought the art to my car without me asking. Some of you may think this is just his job, but as someone who works in the food industry as a server I know how hard it can be to stay calm and cool. Kudos to you. This entire staff has always impressed me. What a great group you are. I will be back!!!

Once a week I do respite work, and Thursday evening as I was at Eastside Mario's with her and an amazing thing happened. We were having a wonderful night, as usual. When it came time for our bills, we were informed that a man, with his family, that was in a booth nearby us had generously paid for our meals. She was overwhelmed with excited and I was deeply touched. You were gone before we could thank you so I hope that this reaches you, but thank you! Your kindness and generosity has reminded me of the wonderful people living in our Windsor community.
I would like to send a very big thank you to the gentleman on the motorcycle that turned around to assist me on Front Road in Lasalle tonight to help momma duck and her babies cross the road. I really appreciate you stopping traffic in the other direction while I stopped traffic in the lane I was in. I believe that had you had not showed up and felt in your heart to help me, I don't believe that this would have been a happy ending. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. As for the heartless people that tried to go around them and not let them cross, you oughta be ashamed of yourself. Laughing at us like we were stupid. How would you like it if your animal was trying to cross and people did that to them? I sure hope you don't have any animals. However, Mr. Motorcycle fella, again thank you. I wish I would have got your name but you definately deserve this recognition.
I just really need to applaud some awesome people right now. If you or someone you know works for this company Aecon....please express my gratitude. They are doing some work on Roselawn Road and I was taking my son for a walk to hopefully get him to sleep. They saw me coming and turned of their loud machines so I could walk past them and they wouldn't wake the baby or hurt his ears. They did this for me twice. I thanked them of course... One of them even said "we've all been there" 💜💜 So I just wanted to give them a shout out. 😃
Found this written on a log at Chippewa Park (Riverside & Lesperance) at sunrise this morning (June 10)
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the family at Franco's last night who bought dinner for my sister and her friend! You know who you are! Because of you, our family and friends have a renewed sense of humanity and we are grateful to have people like you in our world. Hugs!
Amazing act of kindness and generosity!
I found out I had lost my wallet at the checkout. Flustered with embarrassment and concern I was going to have to leave the loot behind. The sad thing was my oldest son was buying presents from him to his little brother for his bday. The lady behind me paid for our purchases. What an angel!
Of course still flustered and concerned on my wallet whereabouts I never thought to get her number to repay her.
My hope is that she might see this and I can somehow get in touch or know I will pay it forward!
Today my mom woke up at 5 a.m. and drove to Lasalle to care for a friends children who's baby brother is hospitalized. She got one ready for school and brought the other one home. She baked cookies and played with the little girl and myself. Then she made supper for the family so the mom didn't have to. This is my mom, giving all the time and helping everyone. My mom does everything for me. I am almost 18 in August and I have Cerebral Palsy and I'm a wheelchair bound. After 11 years of applying and trying my mother got a letter in the mail from a Charity saying that she is being 'gifted a wheelchair van' today! We were so happy we both cried a lot. My mom helps me do my banking and I got a brand new card today that does tap. I wanted to try it but I couldn't get into the store so I waited outside with my dog Sam. My mom lined up with Milk and chocolate bars and an iced tea. She tapped my card and it didn't work. She saw someone talking to me and came outside to verify my card number and tell the lady who was talking to me that I can't speak. I can hear. YOU paid for my stuff. YOU, who doesn't know this was one of the best days of my life. One of the days I find out that I can go anywhere with my mom now where I could never before without huge expense and often painful for my mom to lift me. YOU have no idea, that on top of the best day that could not have got better, proved that it did. My mom and I cried and giggled all the way home for your generosity and kindness. It is truly something else when a total stranger does something like this random act of kindness. I don't think it was because you felt sorry for me, I think you are just a nice guy. I know my mom thinks you thought we didn't have the money, we do, it's just the new card is wonky so she is embarrassed for sure. However, we are both very very grateful and God bless you for doing such a wonderful thing on our best day ever! I hope you know that tomorrow morning mom and I are going to pay it forward - it's contagious and you and your partner are good people. Thank you Thank you Thank you. & lt;3
