Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
So the other night I was pulled over for a small traffic infraction, that actually turned out to be a bigger issue (long story). That aside, the officer that pulled me over was very friendly, kind, and understanding to the situation. He answered the many questions I had and offered me advice. What he probably expected to be a quick pull over turned into about an hour waiting at like 1am and he was not remotely rude about it. He did not talk down to me and treated me with respect and it was very appreciated given the situation. So thank you, for being the complete opposite of what Police stereotypes and reputations are. I can't say I'm happy with how the situation has unfolded for me, but it was 100 times better than it could have been. Thank you Windsor Police!
Spotted: Today i was in a funeral procession and as we were driving i seen plenty of plenty of people stand/ pull over and watch us go but 2 vehicles stood out....first to the Windsor Police Department they blocked traffic a couole times do the procession could continue when they didnt have to and to another black truck as we were nearing Greenlawn Cemetary he slowed down traffic to make sure no one behind passed us. Its so nice to see people do these things so to the WPD and the person in thr black truck you haved been spotted
A big thank you to the couple on Brimley. I was taking a walk around the neighbourhood when all of a sudden I felt ill. This couple allowed me to use their washroom and when I started to get dizzy, had cramps and thought I would pass out they called 911 and kept me cool until the paramedics arrived. I felt so embarrassed and bad for imposing on these people but they insisted that it was alright and they were very kind. So to the both of you I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank-you to the 4 gentleman that stopped along the way and helped me get my little 'speed bump' to a safe place this morning at around 5:30am! It was a long night of midnights and I wasn't ready for that puppy to stall on me (but are we ever)! I was so determined to get it home but after that first block of pushing, it just wasn't happening for one more. It means a lot when people show they care even with a busy in the midst of their busy life. Thank-you again,
Sarah
I was at the Wholesale grocery store on Dougall and Grand Maris for my restaurant supplies. This nice gentlemen asked me where my helper was. I told him that I have no helper, I do the shopping for myself. This gentlemen named Perry came over to my car and helped me place all my groceries in my car. This is the first time I have had someone help me out like this. Thank you Perry, you have made my day ! The least I could do is offer Perry breakfast at Marija's Place if he is in the area. It is so nice to see that there are very nice people in the Windsor area.
I want to thank a wonderful and kind man for finding my cell phone and returning it to me. I just got off work at Walmart and was walking through the parking lot. I saw the bus coming so I put my phone in my purse and ran for the bus. My phone fell out of my purse and a nice man saw it. I was not paying attention. He was chasing after me to give me back my phone but I got on the bus. I looked in my purse and my phone was gone. I got off the bus at the next stop and went back to the parking lot to look for it. It was gone and my heart just dropped. I got on another bus and when home. When I got home my family told me that a man just dropped off my phone. It was the man chasing me. I just want to say how grateful and happy I am that you took the time out of your busy day to help a stranger in need. You are truly a wonderful person. Thank you so much
To the cute waiter at Applebee's who served us lunch around 130, I'd like to thank you for running my phone out to me in the rain after I forgot it on the table. It would not have been nice getting back to leamington and just realizing I had no phone.
Thank you to the kind Police Officer that bought my daughter a balloon at Parkway Zehrs. You saw that she was admiring it and went out of your way to get it for her. It was such a kind gesture and it made her day!
