Tecumseh Mall Parking Lot

Spotted: Thank you so very much to the kind person who placed a note on my car to let me know I had a severely cracked/ damaged tire. I would never had noticed it without them. I take the 401 often with my 3 year old daughter and this person saved us from a possible catastrophe. I am so grateful that they took the time to do this. I'm sending some good karma your way! Thank you! thank you! thank you!

There's still good people around

There still nice people around, this morning I went to Zehrs on Malden rd to buy a 43inch tv on sale. They didn't have any left so the employee called the Zehrs on tecumseh rd east, they had some there was a ladyalso at Malden rd wanting one so both of us went to Tecumseh rd she got there first she stood there waiting for me to make sure I got one because mine is for a fundraiser for my friend with Lyme disease. So after putting it in my truck I noticed the lady coming out with hers so I went over and helped her put it in her vehicle, she said thank you, I said you're welcome and goodbye. When I got half to my truck she holler sir, she came to me and handed me 20 dollars and said put this toward my friends fundraiser. I thanked her and greatly appreciated it we need more people like this.

Thank you again!!

Patience Appreciated

This afternoon I took my 2 boys and my nephew to Springz to drive the go carts. My youngest son and my nephew drove the kiddie carts and had a great time. My oldest son, Robbie, suffers from anxiety and was very excited, but also very nervous about driving the go carts. He is tall enough to drive the adult carts on his own. Robbie wanted it to just be him and I on the track, but as we were waiting for our turn another couple came to drive as well. We encouraged Robbie to give it a try and let the other couple know that he was very nervous. Robbie got in the cart, but his anxiety got the best of him and he had to get out. This meant that the other couple had to get out of their carts and move to the front. When it was our turn to go (just the 2 of us), the attendant was very accommodating. He reassured Robbie that he would set the cart on the slow mode and that he could stop both of the carts if needed. The young man took the time to explain things to Robbie and to make sure that he was comfortable. Robbie was nervous as he started, but soon found his comfort zone. A few laps later the attendant asked Robbie if he wanted the cart to be able to faster and Robbie told him yes. Robbie ended up having a great time. Robbie is 12 and is very aware of his anxiety and that it sometimes holds him back from doing things that he may really enjoy. Many times we are able to work through this and he eventually enjoys himself. As Robbie's Mom it is difficult to watch him go through the fear, but very gratifying when he is able to work through it. At no point today did the attendant make Robbie feel bad, belittle him or make Robbie feel like he was wasting everyone's time. I made sure to let the attendant and his manager know that I appreciated his patience with us. A little kindness goes a long way!

Host Families of Windsor Essex

Tonight while 46 Japanese girls from Fujisawa (Windsor's Sister City) graduate from a two week intense school program for English I would like to take a moment and praise the incredible families that hosted these girls. Moms and Dads with kids, Single young women, Older retired women, widows, blended families, Greek, Russian, Columbian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, French, Filipino, German and all of them Canadian! You were truly amazing and a blessing to have care for these girls. They had an experience they will never forget and it's all because of you. I've seen hundreds of photos and heard wonderful feedback from the community, the school and the mayors office!! Everyone is so pleased with the example you set and the homes your provided were spectacular! So from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for doing what you do and I appreciate all of you so much & lt;3 THANK YOU & lt;3 enjoy the rest of your summer! ~ H

What a gentleman

While at freshco on Huron church I observed this man for about a half an hour. He was helping a lady with her van. It didn't seem to want to start and he was being so patient insisting he wasn't in a rush. After informing her that her jumper cables did not work, he used his and the van started. He told her to bring it in to get checked across the street and refused any type of reward. The way he spoke with her was amazing as he was a young man and it is not so common these days. Good on you sir 😊

Returned generator

Hi, I had submitted a post the other day about a generator that was taken from a race. The generator was returned so I just wanted to send a follow up email to say the previous submission can be disregarded.

Thank you very much,

Jessica Allison

Staff at ICU Met Campus

I want to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses,Respiratory Therapists and other staff in the ICU at Met for their outstanding care and compassion during a very difficult time. There wasn't a question that went unanswered, a need left untended or a hug not given. This is truly an amazing team and they deserve much more recognition than this but it is a start. & lt;3
