Thankful for the Nurse

I want to send a big shout out to the nurse that works on 7 East at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus Alisa. I cannot thank you enough for laughing with me so hard during my time in the ER with my sister. You truly helped to make this very lengthy experience a valuable stay during the turosious wait times we had last night. I was looking for you when we were leaving to update you and say goodbye but we could not locate you. First of all, I hope that your mom is doing much better now and has some relief. Secondly, thank you so much once again. You rock. How you doing? LOLOLOLOL (Our little joke) If you are on facebook, please feel free to find me and send me a request. Would love to keep in touch with you when we have difficult times. I couldn't let the day go by without recognizing you. Take care and if I ever get admitted, I will request you as my nurse :)

Thank you to the young lady and her mom downtown today that gave me her parking spot and paid ticket stub for the city hall building. Also thank you to the man who offered the same immediately after. I've had a rough couple of weeks and a random act of kindness is just what I needed. I was in and out quickly and did the same for another man coming in as I was leaving. Thank you!

WPS & Devonshire Mall Security Go Above and Beyond

My 14 year old son's purple HARO BMX Bike was stolen today from the bike rack close to the Moxies entrance at the South East corner of Devonshire Mall around 3:30 pm (by the bus terminal under the Cineplex sign).

Special thanks to Melissa and Robert from Devonshire Mall Security and Constable R. Brisco and his partner from Windsor Police Services for going above and beyond to help us look through video and try to recover his bike.

Video from the mall shows a Caucasian male, likely 16-20 years old walking up and taking the bike. He was wearing black pants, a black backpack and a grey shirt. He has short, dark hair. He left the South East corner of the mall and headed East

Fingers crossed that the punk thief has a conscience and returns it. We were driving over to the mall to meet the Windsor Police and my son said he hoped the their needed the bike really badly

paying it forward

I am a waitress at the main street diner in essex and this morning I had a table of 3 I deliver their breakfast and the little boy says a prayer before they enjoy their meal. The table across from them decided to say thanks to the little boy for the wonderful prayer by buying their meals. In return they decided to pay it forward to another table and so that's how my day was at work so for the next 8 tables people continued to pay it forward... And it all began from a little boy thanking God for their meals they were about to receive.

Professional and Amazing Stylist!

I went to the Dry Parlour on Howard Ave today ( Saturday) to get my hair done for a wedding I am attending. I walk in and my stylist was running 10 minutes behind (Ok no problem I was thinking). While sitting waiting for my appt, the stylist I was waiting to see was working a "monster" of a bride.. nothing was pleasing this bride and my stylist was clearly rattled once she had started with me. This stylist is Spotted for her awesome work done on my thick head of hair and it looks fantastic! But also for her professionalism while having to deal with Miss. Bridezilla.! I appreciated everything you did today and I will surely return to the Dry Parlour on Howard for future services.

I do you hope you have a wonderful weekend and if this msg you end up reading, I hope you had a good rest of your Saturday once the bridal party went on their way!

Sweetheart of 8yr old girl named Peyton

Last week in my restaurant ( Marij's Place) two ladies and little girl named Peyton came in to have breakfast. Everyone was excited to order something different. Peyton ordered a Smudge Crepes. That little girl eat everything and was very happy !! The time came to pay the bill and Peyton pulled out her little change purse. She paid the entire bill. Her mother stated that the money was from her birthday money.!! I was so impressed because of the 11 years in the business she was the second child that paid for her mothers bill. She also came over and gave me a big hug. This is the beginning of a very thoughtful child. HATS OFF TO PEYTON !!!
