Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
As I was visiting my 97 year old friend which I do 3 times a week I encountered a male nurse or Psw not sure of his title but his name is Devin and works at heron Terrance nursing home. I wanted everyone to know how great it is seeing such a caring young man who loves his job and does it for all the right reasons. The care that you give to my dear friend is outstanding and I just wanted you to know you have been spotted and thank you.
In the drive thru at Timmies on Walker and Wyandotte, the kind person in front of me paid for my order. I was so shocked it has never happened to me before. I was thrilled! So I paid for the 2 orders behind me.
Thanks Stranger!!!
When my car unexpectedly refused to start after doing my banking at the Scotiabank on Tecumseh Rd. E. I was upset and trying to figure out how I was going to get home. I opened the hood, not really knowing what I was looking at. Thankfully a lovely lady approached me asking if I needed help. Her husband was inside the bank and she said he would take a look when he came outside. Fortunately I had a set of jumper cables in my car and within seconds he and another gentleman that was passing by got my car up and running again. I didn't get anyone's name but just wanted to say thank you so very much. Windsor truly has some wonderful, kind people always willing to help. Thanks to all 3 of you and may God bless you.
Hi Spotted in Windsor Friends!
I'm hoping to gather your valuable experience and insight. I'm looking for an auto body shop in Windsor that does really great work and are very helpful in answering questions/ providing great customer service to female customers. I have been to a couple of body shops and I have been really disappointed by the type of treatment that I have received. They brushed off any questions that I had and I got the feeling that they were taking advantage of the fact that I'm female. Any help that you could provide would be really appreciated. Thank you so much!
While out on a date at EastSide Marios in Windsor, my date and I held open the doors to allow a husband and wife with their very cute very brand new baby to go in first.
Once inside the hostess came and asked who was there first, we both offered for the family to be seated first but they insisted we go first.
Fast forward to the end of our meal our waiter came over and said "Usually this is the time I'd give you your bill, but I don't have one for you." We laughed thinking it was a joke, but sure enough no bill. He said a gentleman in the bar paid for our meal. We were shocked! I asked to find out who it was, if they were still there, etc
It was the family from the beginning of the night. I just wanted to say thank you so much and that we will definitely be Paying It Forward.
The little things in life matter, a simple act of being kind and holding a door can make your whole night.
Here's hoping you see this!!
This morning I went to goodwill's 50% off Sale, and just like most of us bargain hunters I got there early and stood in line outside waiting for the doors to open. It was about 5 mins to 9:00 and people really started to get out of their cars. Some people did the right thing and went to the end of the line while others just stood about 10 feet from the line in front of the store doors. Some people would say "the back of the line is back there". Some listened and went to the back of the line and the others just ignored the fact that there was even a line. When the doors opened the people that had just came out of there cars tried to cut in. But there was a lady that was standing in line that saw the people that had just came out of there car trying to cut in and she stood there and blocked the people from cutting the line and saying some of these people have been waiting for an hour you need to wait. I just wanted to say thank you for standing up for all those people and even might have missed out on the thing that she was standing in line for. Thank you very much. We all need to be like you and stand up for what is right and fair. Hopefully one day I can do that for someone else too.
I never really thought about massage therapists and thought for a long time that it was all about relaxation. Well, I was wrong.
After some gentle nudging by my better half, I went and saw a RMT to see if something could be done to help my leg. I had been having issues with it for weeks and was starting to resign myself to the fact that I am getting older and just falling apart but she wasn't having any of that.
On a recommendation I saw Marci at Lemmo Brain Centre (I told her I'd give her a shout out for helping me). Not only was she able to get my leg to release and feeling normal again, she was able to help the headaches that have plagued me for years. I never realized working a desk job could mess my shoulders and neck up enough to cause them!
Now that I know better and know how helpful they can be, I apologize for dismissing the massage therapists. A believer has been made of me.
Well last Sunday, January 22, 2017 I filled up at Costco, jumped into my car and it wouldn't start, break wouldn't move, it's a push button start and nothing was happening. Jessica who works at the Gas Station at Costco came over and asked if there was anything she could do, well I forgot my phone so she was very nice and allowed me to use Costco's so I could call CAA. I felt horrible for everyone waiting and she was very nice told me it was fine. Tqhings happened and proceeded on letting people know what the hold up was and everyone was fabulous a lot of people came over to offer assistance. But Jessica you were so very nice and came over to check on me and my friend. Girl you have been spotted!! Thank you for all of your help and my car is still in the shop and I hope to be reunited this weekend with it. It was a major module in the dashboard that died. The vehicle is less than 2 years old. Geez.
