Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
Last Thursday my family went out for Valentine's Day dinner. We have a 2 year old and a newborn so we were avoiding the crowds. We went to our favourite spot, East Side Mario's. We enjoy eating here and typically have decent service while we are here. Tonight we were greeted by our server before we had even gotten settled (which takes a bit with 2 kids). She offered to get our drinks while we got settled. She was back in a flash. We had superior service for our entire meal. We didn't have to wait for bread or salad (which is important when the 2 year old wants to eat!) our drinks were never empty and she sprinted around with a smile on her face. I even caught my 2 year old flirting with her as she tended to another table. Now I have never worked as a waitress but I can imagine that it isn't the best of jobs. People can be rude and it would be hard to be as happy as our waitress was tonight, clearly she is a people person. Even my husband who doesn't usually say much about service said how wonderfully we were treated tonight. I hope that this girl's boss recognizes what a spectacular employee he has. She deserves a raise!
Jenna R. You have a bright future ahead of you and you have been spotted!!
Thank you to the person who found my wallet in Amherstburg and left it at my house with note. Yesterday was an amazing day, as I got together with friends and family and celebrated the health and recovery of a young boy from Amherstburg who has courageously fought off an illness that had kept him hospital bound for months. This morning as I went to leave my house and found my missing wallet in my mail box I was overwhelmed with happiness Thank you again, it was very appreciated!

I was shopping @ the Freshco on McDougal & Tecumesh Roads this evening around 7:00 pm. I have been walking with crutches since Thanksgiving weekend. I had a knee replacement June 6th.and have had several problems since then hence the crutches. I was at the check-outs and had already checked out and I was bagging my groceries. At this point I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I probably jumped the gun by going grocery shopping since I had minor surgery on my knee on Thursday February 16th. I had started packing my groceries and was about half way through when a young couple went through check-outs after me. They both started packing their groceries when he must of noticed I could use a little help. With that he grabbed my bags and packed my remaining groceries. I was so grateful I offered him a few dollars and told him to buy himself a coffee. As much as I insisted he still refused. So to this awesome guy, you have been Spotted my friend.
Today , I found myself in thyme maternity finally buying clothes for my growing belly. I was a bit uncomfortable because I don't shop often for myself. Well the most amazing employee helped me shop for all of my things, constantly taking the clothes into the dressing rooms and even when I was changing you were always asking if I needed a different size. YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED ! One happy 5 & half month pregnant momma. Thank you for being so kind & helpful, I'll definitely be shopping there because of you !
Living across from a housing development, you understand that things will be messy and dirty while the new houses are being built. That said, Sieko Homes (the housing builder) visited all of the homes on our block and gave everyone a $60 gift card for car washes and apologized for the short term inconvenience of living next to a construction site. Thank you Hessan Habib, you made my wife's day!!!!
On valentine's day around 8:45am I witnessed a young girl wearing a pink coat run back to her mom's car and come back to the street help stoop. I wached from the crosstown 2 bus stop as this young lady gave the women sitting on the stoop a valentine. She then sat in the car and waited to give valentine's to more people at street help. It was an awesome sight and made my day. To you young lady, you have been spotted and please don't stop being so caring towards those who have nothing. You are an amazing little girl.
