Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Windsor
If only you knew.
Spotted: To the man who was standing next my truck to give me a heads up that my back passenger tire was damaged with a big screw on the "Side wall". You offered to change it and put a spare on so we can drive away safely. I told you it wasn't an issue that my husband would come. You insisted and made sure my child and I were comfortable, noticing I was worried about someone else besides my husband changing it. I even offered to call a tow truck instead of bothering you. You were amazing as you showed my son how to change a tire (he was 5 and was so excited to help.)
What you didn't know is that earlier in the store I walked by a couple that I overheard talking about my clothes being tight. They whispered and giggled everytike they would pass me.
Because I was too scared to stand up for myself I left the store feeling ashamed and embarrassed the whole time. Once I walked out of the store after paying, there you were waiting patiently to help save someone's life.
By the time my husband got my message and arrived you had already finished and said your goodbyes. He missed you to thank you. I was with my child and I'll be the first to admit I wouldn't have likely noticed it. You likely saved 2 lives because my husband looked at it and was so glad someone had noticed it before we went onto the ECRow.
So thank you from me my son and my husband.
Signed
The lady in the black SUV
Saying a huge thank you to the kind, honest person for turning in my GreenShield and Health cards that I misplaced at the Walker Rd SuperStore Thursday, June 8.
Truly appreciated! Thanks again.
Not only did Windsor Chrysler do a great job fixing our vehicle, they tended to flat tire on our other (non-Chrysler) vehicle when we went to pick up the one originally being serviced. It just so happened we drove there to on a deflated tire and were unaware. I was in a rush to get back to work, so the service guy had me drive in the bay and pumped up the tire so I could get back on the road. He also took the time to find the leak and point it out so we know what needs to be fixed later.
Thank you kind young guy at Windsor Chrysler Service centre.
yesterday my sister in law was informed she was in active labor and was directed to the hospital from the doctors office. Once she got there long story short she was greeted by a nurse who was introduced as her nurse for the evening. I was not present for the whole interaction, but was up there for a few hours in between the process. Her name was Johnna (please forgive the spelling if not correct ).I am not a mother myself, but I do in fact know not all nurses are the most pleasant to have to deal with for whatever reason they have. But from my sister in laws experience yesterday, this woman, this nurse johnna, deserves at least some recognition for the positive attitude, the informative personality, the caring, compassionate , and understanding conversations she had with each and everyone of us. She kept her calm, happy and even prepared to have my niece before her shift was over, so she could meet her :). Mission accomplished, she born at 9:52 PM beautiful BIG and healthy. Johnna from one family to another on behalf of the family, thank you for making this a positive experience for us all especially the first time daddy:) from your jokes to your sense of humor and understanding you really made it a breeze for everyone.
Signed one happy auntie/ uncle that can only be lucky enough to have you as my nurse when the time comes :)
Today while I was navigating through construction on Tecumseh rd I witnessed a very generous act of kindness. As I seen an elderly lady struggling with crossing the gravel, worker with Shea Brothers Construction kindly spared some time to take the woman by the arm and assisted her across the street. You sir are a true gentleman. This world needs more people like yourself..
We started using Zehrs Click and Collect at the Manning Road location a couple of months ago and are totally thrilled. We select from the website (It takes time to get used to it). We choose a pick up time and when you arrive they bring the order out to the car and place it in the trunk. All with a big smile.
A lady had her baby in her car and locked the keys in it and congrats to the Fire Department on College for acting fast on getting into the car and getting the baby to the mother safe.
To the men at the fire department great job guys.
